Assalamualaikum,
Since yesterday, my life has been upside down. After receiving a very shocking email from the PG office, I had tachycardia plus sweating! haha. Well, the issue is still ongoing and I believe the shock made a movement for us to have our first meeting with all the PG students in the department. Alhamdulillah. Things does turn out to have good reasons behind them.
This whole hanky panky thing really reminds me of the old memories while doing my Master. The same history repeats itself. huhu. Alhamdulillah, I'm glad that I've gone through the process and I hope it will improve this time insyaAllah.
Anyway, I'm already in my 3rd month PhD. I am counting the days just like counting the days during my pregnancy. In my opinion, PhD is like a time bomb. Everyday, the time keeps on ticking away and if I don't plan my time properly, the time will just slip away and nothing will progress. So far, Alhamdullillah, I've been doing labworks. There are more labworks to do. But, thank you to my very helpful understanding SV for guiding and supervising me perfectly. So, during my night prayer, I must pray that she will live long life, be happy and filled with Allah's barakah and rahmah fidunia wal akhirat. Amiiin.
Latest news, Bibik is not coming back. Yeah. Whatever the reason is, I am glad that she is in her country and not running away just like she did before. So, cooking, cleaning and the rest of the housechores are the added "fetal kicks" for my PhD pregnancy. Haha. I am stil cooking the same food somehow. Yet still to cook new recipesssss....
Aha, talking about new recipe. I did this recipe three times already. Habib loves this so much. He can really eat this Mac and Cheese many-many times. :) So, I must share the recipe here so that I can refer back easily whenever I want to cook it. And Habib can also refer here whenever he wants it later when he is a grown up man and missing his Umi's Mac and Cheese. haha
The recipe is:
Makaroni Bakar Extra Cheese
Sumber 1 : DayangJack@DapurKu SaYang
Sumber 2: Dapur Mamasya
Sumber 3: Kak Nita
Bahan-bahan : untuk 4-5 orang makan
2 cawan makaroni + 1 cawan pasta spirals (direbus ala dente* dan toskan)- guna 3 cwn makaroni
150 g minced beef/chicken/seafood
2 ulas bawang putih (dicincang)
1 labu bawang besar (dihiris dadu kecil)
1 tin kecil puri tomato atau 1 botol kecil sos spagetti - kak nita guna Kimball
sedikit sos cili
sedikit sos tomato
sedikit garam
sedikit kiub ayam -kak nita tambah
1 sudu besar mentega
sedikit mixed vegetables (akak tambah)
Sos Putih :
2 cawan susu segar
1 sudu besar mentega
sedikit lada sulah
2 sudu besar tepung gandum (dibancuh dengan sedikit air)
1 slice cheesedale atau 30 g krim keju
sedikit garam dan gula
lain-lain : keju parut dan oregano
mozarella cheese (kak nita tambah)

I MISS YOU MY BABY HABIB
Alhamdulillah, uploaded the pics from iphone. But not easy to tap on the touchscreen to write the story of Habib going to school for the first time today... Finally managed not to bring him back to the house.....
These are my 2 little caliphs who had been my treasure since they were born. Alhamdulillah, they had fulltime breastfeeding, as for Huzaifah 1 year and 3 months. As for Habib, 2 years. Look at them growing really amazed one and for parents to always remember that Allah had given them as their "amanah". I think because of the bond created during breastfeeding, made them cliche to me more than Ayah unless Ayah has something to give them, "rasuah". hehe
Anyway, today Habib wanted to go to school after telling the child care that we would like to defer 2 days ago. Habib asked me to bathe him and he wanted to wear one of the child care's uniform out of three. He ate with his brother together and then, I left him in his class where he was playing with legos. My husband asked me to leave. So, I said to him that I wanted to go to the toilet. He was OK initially but then heard him crying "Ayyyyaaaahhhh"... Hancur luluh hati Ummi bila mendengar tangisan my Habib... huhu.
Ya Allah.. Kau peliharakanlah anakku di child care. Aku berserah padaMu ya Allah. Semuga dia dijaga dengan baik dan dia mudah dijaga oleh penjaga di situ. Ya Allah, aku tidak mahu sama sekali menyeksa dia untuk duduk di sana. Kau Maha Mengetahui akan segala sesuatu. Amin.

WEEKENDS ARE ALWAYS OFF
Assalamualaikum,
READING
I tried to bring home the works for my research, but I failed to finish and complete the work before the following week. Since I can't be in front of MY DELL all the time during the weekends, I read a book sent to me by Prof Muhd Kamil Ibrahim, which I received happily last Friday. His signature was on the 1st and the 2nd page. But in the 1st page he had written: Ini buku terakhir dalam simpanan saya. Moga dirahmati Allah sentiasa. Signed, 22/12/10.
It's an honor to receive his book and what he had written made me so excited and very happy... I tried to look for the book at Popular Bookstore and bukuonline.blogspot.com, but they said there are no more copies... (Just...Maybe because I bought 3 of his Travelog Haji book and 1 Travelog Dakwah book and gave them as gifts to my friends... But I didn't mention that to him of course.. hehe.. :) )
I am so glad that I really searched for his book... SubhanalLah, almost every page I marked by folding the right or left corners of the pages. His words are words of wisdom man. The experiences that he shared, Alhamdulillah, made me think and felt so much relieved... :)
(Allah answered my prayer through his book, I believed... Alhamdulillah! Syukur Ya Allah!)
In the 1st chapter, he said that he was inspired by what Tun Mahathir said: "Perkara yang sukar jika dilakukan secara berulang-ulang, berhati-hati atau dengan disiplin yang tinggi, maka setiap orang boleh mencapai kejayaan."

COOKING
Cooked 2 special menus today... LUPA NAK AMIK GAMBAR!!! tinggal tulang je....
1. AYAM SEDAP THUMBS UP
Bahan2 perap
Ayam seekor
2 s/k Biji ketumbar dan 1 s/k lada hitam ditumbuk
1 s/k Serbuk kunyit
2 s/k Garam
4 s/b minyak jagung
Bahan2 tumis
Minyak goreng ayam
1 s/k biji ketumbar dan 1/2 s/k lada hitam ditumbuk
Sayur-sayuran
1 biji bawang besar
1 biji potato
1 btg carrot
1 biji cili benggala (red pepper)
1 cawan air
Daun ketumbar dihiris
Cara2nya
1. Gaul ayam dengan ketumbar dan lada hitam yang ditumbuk dengan serbuk kunyi dan garam. Tuang sedikit minyak jagung ke atas ayam dan gaul. Perap 2 jam/1 malam dalam peti sejuk.
2. Panaskan minyak, goreng ayam dengan api kecil.
3. Gaulkan bawang besar, potato, carrot dengan lebihan minyak perap dan dibiarkan seketika.
4. Tumis ketumbar dan lada hitam yang telah ditumbuk dengan minyak goreng ayam tadi.
5. Masukkan sayur2an termasuk daun ketumbar.
6. Masukkan air panas.
7. Alihkan bahan2 semuanya ke dalam periuk besar yang bertutup.
8. Masak lebih kurang 1/2 jam hingga 45 minit. Pastikan periuk ditutup supaya ayam masak sempurna.
2. BUBUR SAGU JAGUNG (MODIFIED KETUK2 RAMADHAN: Norman Hakim buat bubur ni utk Memey)
Caranya
1. Sagu direndam dalam air biasa sehingga mengembang.
2. Masakkan sagu dengan air lebih kurang 1-2 cawan.
3. Masukkan gula lebih kurang 3 sudu besar.
4. Daun pandan
5. Masukkan Jagung kernel Adabi/jagung manis Ayam Brand, dibuang air dalam tin.
6. Masukkan 1 tin susu cair dan kacau hingga mendidih.
3. MEE BANDUNG ADABI INSTANT
Bahan2nya
3 paket Mee bandung Adabi
6 cawan air
Minced chicken Ramly setengah
5 fishballs
6 helai sawi dan batang
3 biji telur
Garam sikit
Cara2nya, ikut aje macam belakang paket Mee Bandung Adabi.. :)

Playing, reading, praying, eating, bathing, clean Huzaifah after he poo-poo... Here are just some of the activities. They are growing up so fast!
Habib
Habib is a very adorable son... Very cute boy!!! Chubby!!!
He's talking a lot nowadays.. and always heard him reading and sounding the end of a word.
Every night before they sleep, he's forced to read the doa tidor, doa makan and to recite the Al-Fatihah.. Alhamdulillah, the sound of the words are there eventhough the whole word was not mentioned. hehe
Huzaifah
Huzaifah, reading Iqra' till huruf Da now.. Can recite doa makan, doa tidor, Al-fatihah, Al ikhlas, doa naik kereta, doa keluar tandas...
He's very tall...
He had fever and cough last week, so we brought him to the clinic to take antibiotics. Mujur ubat sedap, senang nak makan! :)
Very playful.. This morning let him play Bob the Builder online and starfall.com.
I just watched him solving the Match A Pair! He can remember where the "1st W" is to match with its pair. (I couldn't entertain him because we were busy closing up our Belanjawan Keluarga 2010... How much we spend every month?!! Astaghfirullahal 'Azim. InsyaAllah... InsyaAllah... 2011 kena azam rendahkan belanja sebulan, boleh ke ek??!! Boleh BOLEh! Malaysia Boleh! ;))
Oklah... Huzaifah suruh buat air teh.. the weekends are for them and families.. so I have to work hard during the weekdays eh?? InsyaAllah!!!

RAMADHAN KAREEM
Assalamualaikum,
RAMADHAN
Alhamdulillah...
Ramadhan comes back!
I will try my best to do everything that i could to get many and many good deeds in the month of Ramadhan insyaAllah. There are so much Barakah in this month of fasting. Not only we should be fasting from food and drinks, but also from to do fasting with our heart/feelings/eyes/mouth/hands/feet... hmmm...
InsyaAllah, will try to avoid from making sins... but it's not so easy!!! :(
Tried to practise doing the proper things during the month of Syaa'ban but I failed!!!
But, insyaAllah, may Allah help and guide us all to do our best Ibadah!!!
RESEARCH
My preliminary study, the labwork is fine.
Technically, running the samples in the lab is very easy...
But, the analysis of the datas that I have obtained is not very easy! :)
Not sure how...
But I'll be starting my biostatistics class tomorrow...
May I grab the infos and input quickly so that I can start analysing my datas... InsyaAllah...
In conclusion, I have to study a lot of things...
Like my brother said, you have to thousands of journals... he's right about that! :)
Not only articles in the journals, but books!!!

A LITTLE BOY READING IQRA'
But, seeing my 3 year old son today, reading Iqra'... SUBHANALLAH! :)
Initially, he was fed up reading the 3rd page of Iqra' because of the ba/ta and tha look alike..
But, as he wanted to play online games, I made a deal with him...
I promised him that only after finished reading the 3rd page, I will let him play the game...
MasyaAllah... he managed to finish the page... with some error here and there but I made him to repeat before he can move to the next huruf! :) Alhamdulillah...
If my son... my little son can do it, his mother can do better right???
From not knowing how to read, how to recognise the huruf, how to pronounce it... and the most important thing TO HAVE TO MEMORISE THEM... ALHAMDULILLAH... HE MADE IT!!!!

TILAWATUL QURAN
And... as for Habib today he took my book and began to turn the pages...
Suddenly he was humming... and mumbling and made the sound like the Tilawah Quran on the TV1 last week...
It was funny but I was proud to see that Habib was really making an effort to sound like the Sheikh in the TV1!!! MasyaAllah... hehe

(He got his 18th month jab today...)
So...
"Ummi... Kalau Jayfah boleh, Ummi lagi boleh!" Huzaifah might say to me, yeah?
"huh huh... uh uh... beh.." Habib would reply his brother.. hehe

MY NEW TEMPLATE AGAIN...

It had been a while since I write in this blog...
Didn't have the mood since the template was removed...
Anyways, I browsed through the blogger design and found that I can do this myself..
Well, better than nothing..
Alhamdulillah, Huzaifah was discharged well the other day...
My friend was asking since she said I didn't update my blog..
He had herniotomy done..
Orchidopexy done...
and Circumsicion done!
So 3 operated sites for the 3 year old birthday boy!!!
Now, the scar is still there...
and his circumcised penis... hehe
He loves his brother very much...
"habib... tu bukan kakak... tu abang... HUUUJAYYYY FAH!"
Always reminding his brother that his name is "Abang" or HuuJaayFah!"
Habib is getting bigger and smarter..
Had been following whatever his brother had been doing...
From eating food, talking, playing and crying out loud...
Calls his brother "Abaaa"
Still the "Habib Gemuk"
As for me and my husband...
I'm starting my research already, handling machines now...
Sometimes, when it broke down, I would also feel that I was brokenheart...
That's life...
When we were working in the hospital...
The life of people we will deal with...
But now, it's just technicality and machines... ;)
May Allah show us the way for our research... as Baiti would say...

DENYUT KASIH MEDIK

NEW TEMPLATE
Alhamdulillah, yesterday I was browsing through some of the blogs and I came across this website of scrapinblogs.. Just love all the scrapbooks when I was young. Now they are making the scraps for the webs/blogs.. How nice! I browsed through the website, and all of the templates were beautiful! It was hard to make a decision of making a new template for my blog... hehe. Actually it was just a renewal of blog's background, so that we'll feel better mood when we write in our blog, right???
NOVEL: DENYUT KASIH MEDIK
Anyways, I want to share something I read last week, a novel... DENYUT KASIH MEDIK! written by DR. FARHAN HADI.. Good job! I would like congratulate you, Dr. Farhan!!! Your novel is going to be a hit, insyaAllah! :)
I have short term memories of what I read, but what I can recall and would like to comments is already in my head...

I felt it touched my heart when I read about his nonstoppable work when doing oncalls and ward works, and I did cry a little bit, but it didn't spill! Just tears in the eyes.. :) hehe. Well, reading the story made me go back in the past when I was a houseman(HO) myself and was doing medical officer's (MO) job when I was in medical posting. Yup, every medical wards will have full of patients in beds with all kinds of illness and all kinds of actions towards doctors and staffnurses... ;)
Good if all doctors can do the same as DR MUSLEH (the hero in the story)... Teaching the public and, patients about the importance of doing the WAJIB such as Solat and wearing hijab and practising the SUNNAH such as pray early after the azan, read surah Al Kahfi on Friday nights and encourage us to have many children to make this Ummah stronger... :) But, from my experience, it was never too easy, but again that is part of da'wah... ;) WALLAHUA'LAM.
AIR SELUSUH
I was interested to comment about AIR SELUSUH mentioned in the novel. Well, I didn't come across many patients who took this AIR SELUSUH... but, I wanted to share something that happen to ME when I wanted to deliver my first son, Huzaifah at Hospital Serdang in 2007.
My contraction pain was unbearable at 2:30am but we went to the hospital at 3:30am. We reached the hospital around 3:45am. The contraction pain wasstarting to be very severe.. it was 4:10 (4 contractions in 10 minutes)!!! Sakit wooo...
Then, when the nurse wanted to put the CTG (cardiotocograph, to detect the fetal's heart beat), she asked me, "Doktor ada minum air selusuh ke?" Well, I didn't drink anything written in front of the bottle as "Air Selusuh", but what I had been practising since the first trimester of my pregnancy was drinking the AIR ZAM-ZAM...
Alhamdulillah, I delivered Huzaifah 1 hour after that, 4:50am... And usually for a primid (first time pregnant) like me, it'll take at least 8-10 hours to deliver the baby.. But Alhamdulillah, both my sons were delivered after 1 hour of pain... If I had to bear the pain for the next 2-4 hours, I think I wouldn't survive... WALLAHUA'LAM! ;)
Hmmm... I didn't know what Air Selusuh was, and after I read the novel, now only I understand what is air selusuh all about... It's just a plain water but an ustaz/ustazah will recite few surahs from the Quran added with Air Zam-Zam or Air Musoffa? and somethimes, it adds with few herbs... Something like that... But, for me, I don't agree if somebody wants to say that since I drink Air Zam-Zam, then it is considered as Air Selusuh... A BIG NO!!! For me, air zam-zam is a medicine by itself. As long as your intention is good, drink it with a good niat, insyaAllah Allah will help...
To pregnant ladies out there, drink Air Zam-Zam during your pregnancy as you take your daily folic acid and vitamins... InsyaAllah, Allah will make the pregnancy a beautiful experience and also, an easy delivery... WALLAHUA'LAM. We can try and hope, there's no harm doing it, right? ;)
ROMANTIC AND SACRIFICE
Lastly, about the last part of the novel... Dr Musleh married to Qani'ah, a master student at UM, if I'm not mistaken. How sweet and romantic the story was about them getting married... (teringat zaman kita baru kawin dulu, kan abang? hehe) He mentioned about he wanted to further continue his study in Orthopaedics and wanted to be an MO there before pursuing. But unfortunately, he was placed to another unit, Psyhiatry... But, in the end, instead of going to Psychiatry, he was transferred to a health clinic 2/3 hours away from his home. He had to follow the order and had to leave his pregnant wife...
It was a good story, a good novel! No doctors in Malaysia has yet produced a novel as he did and I really would like to congratulate you Dr. Farhan Hadi... I wanted to do the same as him, but no talent to do the same as yet... hehe. I can just write in my blogs, and I think that'll do... for now.. hehe

NEW TEMPLATE
Alhamdulillah, yesterday I was browsing through some of the blogs and I came across this website of scrapinblogs.. Just love all the scrapbooks when I was young. Now they are making the scraps for the webs/blogs.. How nice! I browsed through the website, and all of the templates were beautiful! It was hard to make a decision of making a new template for my blog... hehe. Actually it was just a renewal of blog's background, so that we'll feel better mood when we write in our blog, right???

Anyways, I want to share something I read last week, a novel... DENYUT KASIH MEDIK! written by DR. FARHAN HADI.. Good job! I would like congratulate you, Dr. Farhan!!! Your novel is going to be a hit, insyaAllah! :)
I have short term memories of what I read, but what I can recall and would like to comments is already in my head...

HABIB 1 YEAR OLD
Hari ni Habib kena cucuk MMR.. Habib cukup 1 tahun 6/2/2010 baru ni.. Alhamdulillah. Berat sekarang 9.8kg, eksklusif susu badan dan makan nasi orang besar...
Abang Huzaifah pun berat maintain steady, 13kg. Nangis2 masa nak timbang berat, apa lah Abang! Makan ubat cacing sebab asyik sakit perut lepas makan nasi...
Lepas ni, insyaAllah Ummi Ayah akan cuba tak nak default TCA anak-anak sampai besar...
Ummi kemaruk nak cari buku Tarbiyatul Aulad.. saper ada boleh bagi pinjam tak???
