SUPER CRAZY

What a feeling when suddenly after 2 years of research work, a man with high knowledge in research commented that the work that I've done was "super crazy".

Not enough of stopping the comment "super crazy" there, a manuscript that I sent to an international journal was rejected and they suggested to send to a local journal.

Oh well! There must be hikmah behind these two comments. InsyaAllah work hard to send to a local journal after the Annual Scientific Workshop for Healthcare next week!

Oh yeah.. Despite of these, I've attained my Master of Medical Sciences (Pharmacology) and insyaAllah both of us, my husband and I will have our convocation on 6th October 2011...

I planned to sell my pavlovas..
But first thing first
That is to confirm whether my Pavlova is Halal or not...
The only ingredient that I was worried was the Anchor UHT whip cream.
Thus, I searched for the information and found that the whip cream I'm using is Halal.

Pavlova the 3rd, the whip cream did not turn out well. A bit soft so everything fell from it while cutting it. But the person we invited today for lunch ate 3 slices despite of the failed whip cream. With strawberries, peaches and kiwi, I guess the taste of the pavlova was still good..

Hmm, should I start a business of pavlova? What should be the price eh?

THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT

One of the FB wall post showed this article. When I first read it, I felt so scared. Imagining this Friday would be the last Friday.. What have I done to bring along myself to meet Allah? To enter Jannah? To be one of the mukminun??

I was feeling intensely scared.. I did Qiyamullail because I read the post at 2:30am.. Haha. Just didn't have the guts to sleep again after reading such article...

I tried to find the NASA's statement, but there wasn't any. What I found was that some of them were making fun of this article...

But the morale of the story;
1. Whether this article is true or not, the hadith mentioned is true.. That one day, the day of Qiyamah will definitely happen..
2. When reading the article it made me scared because we Muslim believe that the sun will one day rise from the west. But I'm ashamed of myself for being scared reading the article and not being always scared for what Allah has said in the Quran many years ago...

HUNGER STRIKE

Israel bows to pressure to end mass hunger strikes by Palestinians 

Israel yesterday agreed to relax significant elements of the regime for Palestinian prisoners in an eleventh hour deal which ended a mass hunger strike that had threatened to unleash widespread unrest across the West Bank.

The Egyptian and Jordanian brokered deal came on the eve of today’s highly sensitive annual commemoration of the” Nakba”—the loss by 700,000 Palestinians of their homes in the war of 1948 –and just in time to avert any deaths among around   2000 prisoners taking part in the strike.  

While inmates held under administrative detention – a system which allows the imprisonment of Palestinians on secret evidence and without charge or trial – will continue to serve their terms, officials acknowledged that the deal provides for such sentences to be renewable only on the basis of new evidence.

The Israeli authorities also made a substantive concession by agreeing to return prisoners held in solitary confinement to normal cells. They also lifted a ban on family visits to prisoners from Gaza held in Israeli jails, a major source of grievance since the prohibition was imposed after the capture of the now-freed Israeli Army sergeant Gilad Shalit in 2006.
With one senior Israeli official saying the government had gone "the extra mile" to negotiate a deal, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's administration sought to project the agreement in the wider context of the frozen peace process. "In response to a request by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas Israel has negotiated an end to the hunger strike," Mr Netanyahu's office said in a short statement. "It is our hope that this gesture by Israel will start to build confidence between the parties and further peace."
At the same time, a separate statement by the domestic intelligence agency Shin Bet laid heavy emphasis on a "green light" by the Palestinian factions that the prisoners' leaders should sign "a commitment to completely halt terrorist activity inside Israeli prisons".

The statement said that, under the agreement, prisoners would "refrain from all activity that constitutes practical support for terrorism, including recruiting people for terrorist activity, guidance, financing, coordinating among recruits, aiding recruits, etc." While it not specify the methods or current scope of such activities, the stipulation is assumed to apply, for example, to the use of prison visits to further them. The deal, signed in the presence of a senior Egyptian official at the Ashkelon prison, came amid rapidly-increasing fears for the condition of a number of hunger strikers, including Tha'er Halaleh and Bilal Diab. The administrative detainees were said by Israel to be members of Islamic Jihad and had been on hunger strike for a life-threatening 77 days.

Although full details of the agreement were not immediately clear, it appears that the deal on administrative detention extends to all detainees on the terms which ended the hunger strike earlier this year by the now-released Islamic Jihad activist Khadr Adnan. These said his sentence would not be renewed unless fresh evidence was found to justify it.

There were celebratory cries outside in support of the hunger strikers in central Gaza City, as demonstrators absorbed the news that visits to Gazan prisoners would now be allowed. Meanwhile, in Ramallah, Palestinian Liberation Organisation executive member Hanan Ashrawi said it was a victory "for millions of Palestinians". She added: "The hunger strikers' courage is magnificently inspiring and their selflessness deeply humbling. They have truly demonstrated that non-violent resistance is an essential tool in our struggle for freedom."

BLOGGING vs PUBLISHING

It had been quite some time since I write in the blog. I enjoyed the picture taking using my new smartphone, and i love editing them using the free Apps. Already created another blog just for the album.. Hihi

PUBLISHING
Well, I've submitted my thesis and the internal examiner had already corrected it and gave few comments. There is a long to-do-list before my next meeting with my supervisors. To write a few:
1. Abstract for Best Basic Science Poster Award
2. Articles on honey
3. Articles on viscosupplements
4. Do thesis correction
And so on.....

Recently, I presented orally at 1st IIUM PG Research Conference 2012. One of the speakers said:"In academia, you need to publish".

So, I need to write good articles and chapters in books! But before I embark into that, I browsed into the journals.

I found a website of a professor being journal editors, sending articles to high impact factors journals, ISI and SCOPUS listed journald only! MasyaAllah, to see the number of articles he had published, almost 150 publications...

I wonder if I can become a writer and publish my work soon?
But I must!
And I will!!!

I have a new chat friend. She is so poetic or "jiwang" is the more appropriate word to be used here. Hihi. Well, my husband was making fun of the jiwang words.

Last night, I clicked the archives, and read my old posts in the blog. I was a "jiwang" blogger myself, I told my husband. Hihi.

So, I was a writer, a "jiwang" one.

Alhamdulillah, uploaded the pics from iphone. But not easy to tap on the touchscreen to write the story of Habib going to school for the first time today... Finally managed not to bring him back to the house.....

These are my 2 little caliphs who had been my treasure since they were born. Alhamdulillah, they had fulltime breastfeeding, as for Huzaifah 1 year and 3 months. As for Habib, 2 years. Look at them growing really amazed one and for parents to always remember that Allah had given them as their "amanah". I think because of the bond created during breastfeeding, made them cliche to me more than Ayah unless Ayah has something to give them, "rasuah". hehe

Anyway, today Habib wanted to go to school after telling the child care that we would like to defer 2 days ago. Habib asked me to bathe him and he wanted to wear one of the child care's uniform out of three. He ate with his brother together and then, I left him in his class where he was playing with legos. My husband asked me to leave. So, I said to him that I wanted to go to the toilet. He was OK initially but then heard him crying "Ayyyyaaaahhhh"... Hancur luluh hati Ummi bila mendengar tangisan my Habib... huhu.

Ya Allah.. Kau peliharakanlah anakku di child care. Aku berserah padaMu ya Allah. Semuga dia dijaga dengan baik dan dia mudah dijaga oleh penjaga di situ. Ya Allah, aku tidak mahu sama sekali menyeksa dia untuk duduk di sana. Kau Maha Mengetahui akan segala sesuatu. Amin.
